Here I´ll explain you how we use First and Second Conditionals.
First Conditional we use when we talk about possible future actions and their results.So we use if+present simple for a possible future action,and will/won´t for its result.
If you don´t study,you won´t get through the exam.
If you call me I´ll let you know about the time and the place of the meeting.
If she doesn´t,we´ll go out without her.
He will get sick,if he drinks two bottles of whiskey
Oh,yes,when a conditional sentence begins with an IF clause,use a comma to separate the two clauses.
Now let´s talk about the Second Conditional;
We use IF+past simple for an imagined situation,and would+ a verb for it´s imagined result.
The IF clause can go before or after the would clause.
If I were rich, I would buy a house and a car.
They´d buy that boat if it was cheaper.
If you could live anywhere in the world,where would you go?
-If I could live anywhere in the world,I´d live in Paris
If you had a million euros,what´d you do?
-If I had a million euros I´d live on the French Riviera.
And don´t forget,when a conditional sentence begins with an IF clause,use a comma to separate the two clauses.
Third Conditional we use to talk about a hypothetical/imaginary situation in the past(which didn´t happen)and its consequence.
To make a third conditional,we use IF+Past Perfect and Would Have+Past Participle.
Examples:
Our team would have won,if our best player hadn´t been injured;
I wouldn´t have gone to the meeting,if I´d known what was all about.
If we´d arrived a little bit earlier we wouldn´t have missed the train.
Now think of some examples of the conditionals and say it.
